Being Our Best

As a woman you take on many diverse roles during your life journey… this program is an opportunity to gain insight and skills to support that journey.

Session One: Being Our Best…Focuses on gaining an overview of the qualities we can cultivate to move through our life journeys in the most authentic manner possible.

Session Two: Stories We Carry With Us… This is an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of personal control and responsibility – to explore how our stories influence how we judge the behaviours both of ourselves and others.

Session Three: The Effective Woman… This session looks at who is in control of our lives - personal control encompasses understanding ourselves, being willing to act responsibly and assertively, dealing effectively and sensitively with others, and planning and controlling our own lives.

Session Four: Speaking Our Truth… In this session we will look at how we put ourselves out into the world – the goal is clear, honest, authentic communication.

Session Five: Confronting Effectively… Confrontation is not the problem – how we confront can be. This session looks at how we can ask for what we want and need – let others know what is working for us and what isn’t – in an assertive, non-aggressive manner.

Session Six: Handling Anxiety… The purpose of this session is to gain an understanding of the nature of anxiety and how it can block assertive action.

Session Seven: Resolving Conflicts… This session allows us to gain a greater understand of the nature of conflict – what works and what doesn’t in resolving a problem.

Session Eight: The Nature of Values… Understanding the nature of values and the role they play in conflicts.

Session Nine: Pulling it all together… This session is meant as a review of where we are and where we have come from.

Note: These sessions can also be arranged as individual workshops or as a 3-hour overview session of the entire program.
